"Before the end of September, Emma attended Harriet to church, and saw her hand bestowed on Robert Martin with so complete a satisfaction, as no remembrances even connected with Mr. Elton, as he stood before them, could impair."
I really like this idea because I think Harriet is finally married to the man she should have been with all along. I think Harriet would've accepted Mr. Martin's proposal the first time if Emma hadn't influenced her, so I'm happy that Harriet had another chance to marry him when he proposed again. I'm also glad that Emma is happy for Harriet this time, instead of trying to prevent her from being with Mr. Martin like she did before.

"She was his own Emma, by hand and word, when they returned into the house; and if he could have thought of Frank Churchill then, he might have deemed him a very good sort of fellow."
I am very happy that Emma and Mr. Knightley are getting engaged. I had a feeling as I kept reading that they had feelings for each other and would end up being together, and it turns out I was right. However, I do feel bad for Harriet because this is the second guy that has fallen for Emma instead of Harriet and it must be painful for her.

"He had gone away rejected and mortified, disappointed in a very sanguine hope, after a series of what appeared to him strong encouragements; and not only losing the right lady, but finding himself debased to the level of a very wrong one."
I think Mr. Elton made a dumb decision in choosing to marry Miss Hawkins, and I don't think he truly loved her. I feel like the only reason he married so soon is because Emma, who he really wanted to marry, rejected him, and that he just quickly proposed to Miss Hawkins out of anger and frustration. I also don't believe his feelings were very strong for Emma if he was able to move on from her that quickly and marry someone else.

" 'Mr. Elton in love with me! What an idea!' "
I agree with Mr. John Knightley because I believe that Mr. Elton does have feelings for Emma, not Harriet. I am surprised that Emma doesn't think Mr. Elton likes her, because he came to the dinner with Emma instead of staying with Harriet, and I think that this should be a clue for Emma. However, I believe that Emma is so focused on Harriet and Mr. Elton getting married that she's probably oblivious of hints that he likes her.

" 'It would have grieved me to lose your acquaintance, which must have been the consequence of your marrying Mr. Martin.' "
I really don't like this idea and I can't believe Emma would stop being Harriet's friend if Harriet decided to marry Mr. Martin. I don't think it matters if Emma doesn't approve of Mr. Martin because she's not the one who is marrying him and Harriet shouldn't let Emma affect her decision. I don't think Emma is a very good friend to Harriet and Harriet should marry whoever she wants to, regardless of Emma's opinion.
